“12 Rounds” of stupidity now at Athena Cinema!

Guess what? John Cena’s “12 Rounds” is now showing at Athena Cinema in Male’! It will be shown every day at 6:30pm till Thursday.
Simon calls “12 Rounds” “by far the worst movie I’ve ever seen.”
Since this movie is that bad, it can only mean one thing: it must be nothing short of an artwork! Because how can someone make the worst movie by accident? Director Renny Harlin must be quite a genius to know just exactly what will make a film that bad! Kekeke
For me the funniest lines from Simon’s review (aside from the title he gave “12 Rounds of Stupidity”) is:
John Cena’s pectorals do more acting than he himself ever could. In fact, his supporting cast did a far better job, doing so almost to the point that it felt like Mr. Cena was constantly stumbling into the set of another, far better movie starring the supporting cast. I think in a couple of scenes the supporting cast were even surprised to see Mr. Cena there at all.
That’s damn hilarious!
Quite surprisingly, I really liked Harlin’s early action films like “Die Hard 2″, “Deep Blue Sea”, “The Long Kiss Goodnight” and “Cutthroat Island.” So I was wondering why Harlin’s directing skills “deteriorated” after that, starting from Sylvester Stallone’s “Driven”, which was pure torture when I watched it a Malaysia cinema.

I think it is not so much the directing. It is about the practically non-existent character buildup of the various roles. I mean initially I thought Cena’s character and the girl who lives there with him were brother and sister. The only time we get to see even a molecule of their relationship is when Cena is blamed for being careless about not fixing the damned plumbing. I mean, yeah, like I can totally identify with that cos that defines marriages. Haha.
And at the start of the movie the arms dealing villain of the movie loses the love of his life in a hit and run accident. FOr the life of me I just couldn’t figure out why she was so important to the bad guy to take such meticulous care in taking revenge for the accident (he blames it on Cena).
The whole movie can be far better, I reckon, if it was just a story told by a real gossiper…”yeah like the bad guy really loves his gal, see…but she dies cos of Cena’s chase…”. It is just that thin.
If I were to rate I’d give this movie a 0 out of 10. Sometimes bad movies have good looking women. The one good looking woman in this movie dies. Haha. As for Cena’s pecs … nice work!

I agree with you on that movie’s review!!! hehehe. Was really stupid movie. Eupe or Yoope or whatever hell his name is will not like u reviewing movies. Or Tedry might not even like ur reviews. hehehe

Hi, this is Tedry’s huge ego speaking. How dare you ruin whatever chances this movie has of being a huge hit at Athena by posting a negative review about it. You are abusing the absolute power you have over the minds of local moviegoers by forcing them not to go watch this movie. You should be ashamed of yourself for lowering yourself to such despicable levels. If you think you can make a better movie, why don’t you do it and prove it instead of making silly comments about it. You big hypocrite. :)
I actually forgot to thank Tedry and Co. Maybe now is the time to give them a big well-deserved Thank-You for giving me so much credit. I mean, that Eupe and the rest of them think that my opinion matters is the highest flattery of its kind and praise that anyone can bestow on me now that I think about it :) So in that sense a huge Thank You to MuhammaKalo too for making not one but two VCD features about me!
